Radio Fresh
This is my favourite idea for a radio station name as it doesn’t link with just one particular genre of music, it links with more than one meaning to the station as it could refer to ‘fresh new songs’ and also a new radio station as 'fresh' represents something brand new and original. Because it doesn’t refer to one particular genre it leaves the listeners mind open to more than one and makes you think about what genres it could possibly be. I think this could link to genres such as RnB, Hip-hop, Indie, Dubstep etc.
DJ Dub
I’m not too keen on this name for our radio station, the reason for this is because it sounds like a radio station that purely concentrates on Dubstep, also, it sounds like it would be aimed more to a younger generation as opposed to a wider range partly due to the shortented name for dubstep. We are looking for something that applies to wider audience and also show a wider range of genres.
Rock n Rolla FM
‘Rock n Rolla FM’ sounds like it applies to more of an older generation of listeners and is concentrated on rock more than anything. This sounds like a good name, but doesn’t relate back to our planning as well as other ideas . So this name won’t be considered for the final name.
Radio Ember
Radio ember is a rather good name, as it seems like it complies well with a wide age range, It sounds lively. Although, it does sound like it is more for Rock and Indie which limits the genres to only a few of our choices for the final planning. This is the reason for me not using this as the final name, the name has to link well with the whole planning as this is the first thing people know about the radio before listening to it.
